Through a bill sponsored by Pennsylvania’s U.S. Senator Pat Toomey and signed into law by President Trump, March 29 is hereby permanently designated as National Vietnam War Veterans Day. The historical significance of the day is that it was this day in 1975 that the last combat troops were ordered from Vietnam.
